An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 on the Richter scale struck Dwarka in Gujarat on Thursday, according to the National Seismological Center (NCS).

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck Dwarka in Gujarat on Thursday, the National Seismological Center (NCS) said in an update.

The National Seismic Center (NCS) said the quake was reported at 3:15 p.m.

“Earthquake of magnitude: 5.0, occurred on 04/11/2021, 3:15:38 PM IST, Lat: 24.15 and Long: 68.29, Depth: 10 km, Location: 223 km NNW of Dwarka, Gujarat, ”NCS said.

Earlier today, an earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale rocked Guwahati and other parts of Assam.

The National Seismological Center reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was 35 kilometers west of Tezpur in the Sonitpur district of Assam, at latitude 26.9 and longitude 92.44, and at a depth of 25 kilometers.
